Cupping therapy applies suction to specific points on the patient's body to draw out obstructions and open pathways to the body's own natural healing ability.
Aromatherapy massage is a therapeutic method utilizing plant oils derived from leaves, flowers, bark, roots and seeds. These essential oils are blended with a carrier oil and are believed to have healing properties linked with the olfactory and limbic systems. These systems are linked to the brain and the central nervous system; influencing emotions and hormones. Each essential oil is linked to different healing effects and can calm, relax, stimulate, invigorate, uplift, or energize!
Deep tissue massage is more intense and designed to release chronic muscle tension, that is causing pain and discomfort. It focuses on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons, and fascia; the armoring tissue layer surrounding muscles, bones, and joints. Deep tissue massage uses cross fiber strokes working against the grain of muscle. The more intense motions of deep tissue massage may be slightly uncomfortable and cause soreness that may last a few days before resulting in pain relief and relaxation.
Swedish massage is the most common form of body work today. The goal is to restore, detox, and energize the body by using long gentle gliding strokes, which follow blood flow to the heart.
Swedish massage aids in flushing the soft tissue of toxins, increasing oxygen levels in the blood, improving circulation and flexibility, while easing muscle pain and tension.
Lymphatic massage employs a holistic approach to promoting a healthy lymph system. The lymphatic system is responsible for moving toxins away from healthy cells and carrying germ fighting materials to cells when they are under attack! The lymphatic system does not have its own “pumping” mechanism. When the lymphatic system becomes blocked, lymph nodes may become swollen. Hot Stone Massage
Hot Stone massage uses the application of warm stones to melt away tension, ease muscle stiffness, and increase circulation. Each ninety minute hot stone session uses placement of smooth basalt stones, which allow for deeper relaxation of the soft tissue. You receive a customized massage to relax and rejuvenate fatigued muscles. Hot Stone massage is an ideal therapy for arthritic pain and discomfort.
Cranial Sacral therapy is a gentle non-invasive technique that works the cerebral fluids surrounding the skull and spine. This therapy helps to ease the restrictions of nerve passages by giving relief to the membranes which encase the CNS. This technique seeks to restore misaligned bones to their proper position. Cranial Sacral therapy provides relief of headaches, neck and back painas well as tempor-mandibular joint disorder ( TMJ ) and other stress related issues causing pain and discomfort.
